512 EVENT
October 7-9, 2011
MUSIC, DEEP NATURE CONNECTION, AND HEALING
Join Jon Young, Nicole Young, Paul Raphael, Geli Bachman, Barry Moses and Kathleen Lockyer for this in-service, community event for associates of the 8 Shields Institute. Read the Staff Biographies here.
The 512 Events provide opportunities for instructors, mentors, support staff and parents in the nature connection movement to come together to participate in talks and activities that deepen their journey of deep nature connection and culture repair, as well as build stronger bonds and support systems between those doing this important work.
Music and Healing are key components of this 512 weekend. During this year’s Renewal of Creative Path process we, at the 8 Shields Institute, rediscovered the important role of music in healing from historic trauma and creating deeper connections with ourselves and others.
This is a family event with a Children’s Program running concurrently with the adult program and shared mealtimes. We will all enjoy home cooked meals made with organic ingredients (vegetarian, dairy and gluten-free options are available, please pre-order so we know ahead of time what to prepare).
The 512 Event will run from Friday, October 7, at 4:00 PM (Registration is 2:00- 4:00 PM), through Sunday, October 9, at 12:00 PM
