What would be possible if we could create an ongoing, weekly conversation with people who are committed to the vision of humans thriving in harmony with all beings on this earth? That is the question that is driving our weekly Village Talk calls. We know you have been wanting this, because we hear it all the time: “Wow, this workshop completely transformed my life! What can I do next?” “I wish I had a way to stay in touch and continue on this path…”
“Village Talk” is a powerful resource for bringing the vision that so inspired you initially into its full expression. It’s time for us nature connected folks to come together, come out from the edges, and step into the spotlight to share our gifts with each other and the world. You have something important to offer, and maybe this something has not been fully appreciated or recognized in the past, but the time is now to show up and share who you truly are and what you really value most. “Village Talk” gives you the opportunity to be a part of a collective group of like minded people that are excited to listen to and learn from what you have to offer. It’s simple really… You care about our earth, you care about leaving a peaceful and healthy home for future generations, and you know that connecting deeply with nature, yourself and others is vital for human and all of creation to thrive. This knowing and desire to become more connected is all you need in order to show up and offer something really valuable to the Village Talk community.
Here are some of gifts you get from participating in Village Talk:
Here at Village Talk, we are taking the Nature Connection and Community Building conversation right into our day-to-day lives. Every week, people from all over the world are calling in to talk about what is going on in their lives and what matters to them right now. This is not an introductory program. This program is for anyone who:
Has been inspired by the vision. Has been running nature mentoring programs. Has your children in nature mentoring programs. Is finding themselves the budding elder in the village. Is ready to deepen their journey.
JON YOUNG, Founder of the 8-Shields Institute, and mentor to hundreds of community leaders monitors and guides the call series… Twice a week, Jon brings stories and teachings from the lineage of earth based cultures, right to you in your home. These are the stories you love; the ones that are inspired by nature, that touch your heart, and weave your life with the natural world – the ones that create a space for you to bring forth what is begging to be born – a world in which humans thrive in peace together with each other and the natural world. The time has come, to let go of the “go it alone” mentality and to come together to grow and create collectively. We have been running this program for almost 1 year now, building an extraordinarily robust online culture. We know this works because of the feedback we are getting from our participants – and the calls only get more fulfilling as time goes on! “[The] keynote talks are insightful, informative and inspirational, and I am learning from everyone on the call. I find the series helping me stay hopeful, gaining a greater understanding with regards to the nature connection community and culture and a focusing of my awareness.” “I enjoy the opportunity to engage with others in the nature mentoring related subjects. I feel like the calls help me stay connected with some things that are easy to drift from when life is busy. It’s also helpful for me to share stories and get feedback about some of the things I’m doing with my kids.” The fact that you have made it to this place is no accident. The time for change is now. You are here to step into your full potential; to fully express your gift on this planet. But this isn’t for you to do alone. This is the time for you to give your spirit what it has been asking for – the gift of connection to people who are “in your shoes;” who are working day in and day out to create a world where all life thrives together – where all life expresses its fullest joy. A Community ProcessA SUPPORTIVE PROCESS lies at the heart of the community. We utilize a simple but effective process of communication based on principles of peaceful interaction: joining together in a peaceful manner, with good words and intentions towards each other, in a manner that seeks to build unity and a positive community environment. In this short video, Jon Young shares more about this process: By joining the series, each participant recognizes these principles as the basis of our interactive process and agrees to work from this model during interactions with other community members. This creates a positive, safe space for supportive communication.
