Thursday Cultural Mentoring Calls

Welcome, Cultural Creatives! It’s time for a big shift in human consciousness – and you are the ones who are making this happen.
Are you ever just amazed by the choices that our current leaders make? Maybe even appalled? To name a few, nuclear power, GMO’s, war. What are they thinking? How did we get to this place where doing things “cheaply” is more important than the health of the people and the planet that sustains us?
We are all a part of this disconnect in big ways and small, but the important thing is that you are aware that something just isn’t right and you care enough to make changes. The fact that you are here reading this now means you know deep inside that there is another possibility for you living in harmony with all of your relations, that’s available now!
Since the beginning of human history we have lived together in community. It wasn’t until cheap fossil fuels became available that we began living socially isolated lives. Escalating climate change, nuclear disaster and peak oil all point to the need for us to change our unsustainable disconnected way of living. We have the tools and technology to solve nearly any and all of our problems. So, what is the KEY missing ingredient to our current situation?
We must relearn the art of community building, compassionate communication and living together peacefully in order to make the shift to a regenerative future for all.
Jon Young, master storyteller, author, mentor, tracker, has been gathering universal cultural elements from communities who live close to the earth for over 30 years. Not only have they been gathered, but over one hundred communities worldwide have been utilizing these elements to become more healthy and in balance with the natural world and each other.
Join us for the Village Talk Cultural Mentoring Calls to:
- Feel more supported in you dreams and concerns for our world and our people.
- Be inspired and filled with hope as you learn how to utilize valuable tools and lessons from communities that are already making the shift.
- Get familiar with structures and processes for healing grief and opening up dormant creativity.
- Tap into the cycles of nature and successful patterns of our indigenous ancestors as guidance for solutions in every day challenges and the challenges of our times.
- Learn to recognize and help facilitate natural stages of growth in yourself and others.
- Become grounded in the art of peacemaking and deepen your ability to deeply listen.
- Restore the simple, timeless, and essential community tools of festivals, ceremony and ritual to your life.
- Embody the shear joy of being alive at such a wild time for human kind and the planet.
“It takes a Village to grow a Village.”
Weaving a healthy community into being cannot be done alone by one’s self. Not only would it be physically impossible, but it would be completely draining and ineffective.
Are you willing to finally put to rest the paradigm of “go it alone” and quit re-inventing the wheel? Are you willing to grant yourself the permission to harvest from the natural flow of nature and those who have been jump-starting communities for decades?

A Community Process
A SUPPORTIVE PROCESS lies at the heart of the community. We utilize a simple but effective process of communication based on principles of peaceful interaction: joining together in a peaceful manner, with good words and intentions towards each other, in a manner that seeks to build unity and a positive community environment. In this short video, Jon Young shares more about this process:
By joining the series, each participant recognizes these principles as the basis of our interactive process and agrees to work from this model during interactions with other community members. This creates a positive, safe space for supportive communication.
